God is right here.

Oh excruciating face! Continual light!
This is where I am thrilled, here, right here.

There is no book anywhere on the matter.
Only as soon as I see you do I understand.

If you wish to offer your beauty to God, give Zebunisso
a taste. Awaiting the tiniest morsel, she is right here.

Zebunisso (1639-1706)

Cheers,
justforfun.nyc.a@gmail.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08920383852921138627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068586.post-73846789330437461942009-02-06T14:55:00.000+00:002009-02-06T14:55:00.000+00:00Would you Arundhati now revisit your article and l...Would you Arundhati now revisit your article and let us know if Obama's election in anyway tunnels an approach to correct past assymetries, which are more evolutionary in the march of any civilisation.Sandiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01658080759277588649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068586.post-86251465615015496162008-12-28T06:40:00.000+00:002008-12-28T06:40:00.000+00:00Arundhati, I salute you for embodying the common g...Arundhati, I salute you for embodying the common good we are all striving find. Like Mahatma you may never live to see the absolute good that you tend to expect from the world around you. But, you definitely will inspire millions to think differently. While you are creator of a new beginning... i like many others who write positive/negative comments... will be the one who wonders about you, your ideas and your ways of doing things. I wonder though how you intend to achive the absolute good in the sea of bad. For instance... I am an Indian muslim who benefited from what ever liberty the country had to offer and I am able to live a better life by aligning with the forwarlooking middle class of India. How do you expect me, assuming that I am citizen of the world and hope for the best for the citizens of the world, to let kashmir to slip into the hands of those who will ultimately put girls in black cover, deny them schooling, turn kashmir into another afghanistan or pakistan? If I love kashmiri souls.... would I not rather support its continuence with India rather than totalitarian communist china or fundamentalist pakistan? I also wonder why kashmiris do not want to be part of a liberal India. Where else do they find more freedom than India. Which other asian country would do them greater good? And why do you stand with the so called freedom fighters without questioning intended outcome of their goal? I would rather expect you to go around the country and liberate the downtrodden tribals and dalits by enlightening them instead of questioning things on which an activist like you have limited control. Liberation is not going to come like a bolt from the blue. It will come by enlightening the downtrodden masses. This will make everone be a master of their own destiny by doing things intelligently. Sometimes I wonder if my last statement is correct... look at kerala and west bengal and how inspite of having high literacy rate they slipped into the hands of communists....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068586.post-1162492887045413052006-11-02T18:41:00.000+00:002006-11-02T18:41:00.000+00:00ur views are so much like what Tariq Ali and Choms...ur views are so much like what Tariq Ali and Chomsky. i wanted to recommend the paper that Paul Horowitz has written about American Imperialism. The fact that America is trying to establish is hegemony on the world and create division on basis of caste (read shia vs Sunni), colour and creed is so obvious. in the last 10 years we have all seen this world be more hostile and consumerist place. The american capitalist have reduced the human body to a source of production and a means for consumption. that is the role they see of the human body - produce and consume, produce and consume. Any society or civilization which is either not a part of this production or consumption cycle is expendable. i am sure you have read Guns, Germs and Steel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068586.post-1158985739775263612006-09-23T04:28:00.000+00:002006-09-23T04:28:00.000+00:00What a great article.
